ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Stunt planes will be returning to Lehigh Valley International Airport this summer for the second consecutive year.

The dates are Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, and organizers hope to expand on last year’s success by bringing in more acts, including military aircraft.

Last year, the financially struggling airport in Hanover Township held its first air show since 1997. The event generated $59,000 for the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

Sequestration cuts prevented military participation in last year’s show. Those cuts are no longer in effect and organizers said they’re contacting military bases to arrange appearances for this year’s event.

Ticket prices and sale dates have yet to be finalized.
