ENFIELD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Fish and Game officers say a snowmobile operator has suffered non-life-threatening injuries after he tried to avoid hitting a woman walking her dog and crashed into a tree.

Officers say the accident Tuesday night remains under investigation, but it appears alcohol was a factor in the crash. The operator, Kevin Bailey of Lebanon, was arrested on a charge of aggravated DWI.

Officers say Bailey was riding the snowmobile in Enfield. The woman was walking her dog on the trail and as he drove to the side to avoid them, he fell off the snowmobile as it struck the tree.

It is believed the machine also struck the dog, which ran away. The dog owner suffered some abrasions.
