BEAR, Del. (AP) - New Castle County police say a man has been charged in a string of burglaries in the Bear area.

Police say 21-year-old Connor Lemon of Bear was charged Tuesday with five counts of burglary, attempted burglary, three counts each of theft greater than $1,500 and selling stolen property and other offenses.

Detectives investigated several break-ins to sheds and garages since February in which tools, gift cards and jewelry were stolen.

Officer Tracey Duffy says police raided Lemon’s home on Tuesday and found evidence linking him to the crimes along with 23 bags of heroin.

Lemon was arrested and is being held in Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $9,000 secured bail.
