GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A 40-year-old Pass Christian woman has turned herself in after a Harrison County grand jury indicted her on charges of insurance fraud and wire fraud.

Attorney General Jim Hood tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1g3L0ud ) Paulina Ann Wilkerson is accused of defrauding Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. of insurance proceeds she wasn’t entitled to receive.

The wire fraud charge accuses her of sending documents that allowed her to get paid for injuries she said she received in a work-related accident.

She is being held at the Harrison County jail without bond pending a court hearing.

It was unclear whether Wilkerson has an attorney.
