LANSING, Ill. (AP) - An autopsy has determined a 2-year-old girl found dead in a suburban Chicago home died from multiple blunt force injuries and child abuse.
Jahariah (jah-ah-RYE’-ah) Patterson was found unresponsive by emergency crews called to a Lansing home Wednesday for a medical emergency. Investigators from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced her dead at the scene.
Officials say Illinois State Police and the Lansing Police Department are investigating the child’s death and questioning family members. However, no one has been charged in little girl’s death.
