BEAR, Del. (AP) - A Colonial School District official says 14 children and two adults were injured when a school bus and car crashed near Wilbur Elementary.

Police say the crash occurred Thursday morning on Wrangle Hill Road. District spokeswoman Lauren Wilson says the bus was preparing to turn into the school when it was rear-ended by a Kia Soul.

Wilson says there were about 45 students on the bus at the time of the crash. She says 14 children, the bus driver and the driver of the car were taken to Christiana Hospital with minor injuries and the 31 uninjured students in kindergarten to fifth grade were taken to the school.
