ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - Platte-Geddes’ Coby Johnson scored 28 points as the Black Panthers beat Langford Area 58-50 Thursday at the South Dakota Class B boys basketball tournament.
Johnson’s three-point play as time ran out at the end of the third quarter gave Platte-Geddes (18-6) its first lead of the game at 34-33. Langford never led again.
Johnson was 9-for-15 and hauled in 12 rebounds. Carter Dykstra had 12 points.
The Panthers shot 58 percent.
Langford (21-3) got 19 points from Bo Fries and 13 points and six rebounds from Drew Planteen.
The Lions shot 41 percent.
