BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A 36-year-old Boise man police say battered a 60-year-old woman, damaged her home, rammed her car with his car and then rammed a police car while trying to get away has been taken into custody.

Garden City police say they had to use pepper spray and a stun gun to subdue Brian Duffy at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Duffy is being held in the Ada County Jail and charges of misdemeanor battery, resisting and obstructing arrest, felony malicious injury to property, and aggravated assault on a police officer.

Police and Duffy didn’t sustain injuries.

Police say the woman had visible injuries, but didn’t say whether she sought medical attention.
