ELIZABETHTOWN, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in southern Illinois say an autopsy is planned on the body of a woman found inside a sport utility vehicle pulled from the Ohio River.

Hardin County Coroner Jessica Cullum says the body and red vehicle were found Thursday by searchers using sonar equipment.

The family of a woman missing since late last year say they believe it’s possible the body found is that of 39-year-old Chrisandra “Chrissy” Williams.

She was last seen in early December leaving a home in Rosiclare in her red 2011 Ford SUV.

Illinois State Police are assisting in the investigation.
