RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Sioux Falls Roosevelt took charge in the third quarter and held off Yankton 59-53 at the South Dakota Class AA boys basketball tournament on Thursday.

Yankton saw its chances end with a turnover with 34 seconds left. Instead of possibly tying the game at 53, the Rough Riders (20-3) went to the other end and put the game away from the line.

Chris Phillips was perfect in eight shots at the line and had 20 points. Jason Spicer added 15 points, and Colton Kooima had 11.

Brady Hale had 16 points, JJ Hejna 13 and Ryan Olson 11 for the Bucks (14-10), who were outscored 18-11 in the third quarter.
