ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Scotia-Glenville senior forward and tournament MVP Joe Cremo has ushered his team to victory in the Class A final at the New York State Boys Basketball Federation Tournament of Champions.
The 27-0 Scotia-Glenville Tartans beat Holy Trinity 68-52 Saturday.
Cremo finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the final. He tallied 46 points and 21 rebounds over the weekend.
Holy Trinity’s Peter Alkins led the 25-5 Titans with 13 points, followed by James Golaszewski with 11.
The Tartans led by three after the first quarter and extended their lead from there.
Scotia-Glenville (NYSPHSAA) reached the final by beating Albany Academy 70-57 Friday night.
Holy Trinity (CHSAA) defeated Washington Heights in its Friday semifinal 71-65 before it faced the Tartans.
