GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - Wildlife officials are investigating after two antelope were illegally killed and left to rot in northeast Johnson County on March 13.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says the animals were found just off the Lower Powder River Road, 12 miles north of the Powder River Rest Area.

The Gillette News Record reports (https://bit.ly/1fSx3dG) no meat was removed from the animals, which appear to have been shot with a high-powered rifle.
