CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Sheriff’s officials in northwest Georgia say a man has died after being struck by a train.

Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://bit.ly/1kVcVx7 ) 44-year-old Donald Eugene Brock was walking his dog along a set of train tracks when he was hit Saturday afternoon.

Millsap says the train sounded its horn several times but Brock didn’t move.

Authorities say the man’s body was taken to the Cartersville Medical Center and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will conduct an autopsy.
