COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - A Columbus man convicted of molesting three young girls has been sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 20 years.

Carlton McKissic was charged with several sex-related offenses and providing alcohol to the 9, 10 and 13-year-old victims in late March of 2012. Assistant Muscogee County District Attorney Wesley Lambertus said McKissic gave the girls beer while they watched a movie at a sleepover. Authorities have said McKissic got in bed with the youngest victim and molested her.

McKissic’s attorney, Robin King, says his client maintains that he is innocent.
