RUSSELVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Southern Arkansas freshman outfielder Trevor Rucker has been named as the Great American Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
The league announced on Monday that Rucker, a native of Prescott, Ark., earned the honor after having had at least one hit and multiples RBIs in all four games last week.
All told, Rucker went 7-for-14 (.500) with 10 RBIs and four runs scored. Among those hits and RBIs was his first career homerun, a three-run shot in SAU’s 12-2 win over Arkansas Tech.
The Muleriders were 3-1 for the week.
