JENNINGS, La. (AP) - Jefferson Davis Parish students and employees will be paying more to eat breakfast and lunch at school this fall.
The school board approved a 25 cent increase for meals beginning with the next school year in August.

The prices for student breakfasts will increase from 50 cents to 75 cents. Breakfast for employees will go from 45 cents to $1.75.
The price for student lunches will rise from $1.25 to $1.50. Employee lunches will increase from $1 to $3.
Superintendent Brian Lejeune said the price increase, which is the first for the parish in several years, is needed to offset the cost of providing meals at school.
