HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Five people in central Pennsylvania are facing federal drug trafficking charges and three of them also are charged in connection with a man’s heroin overdose.

U.S. Attorney Peter Smith on Wednesday identified the defendants as 19-year-old Ashley Gries, 48-year-old Danny Forrester, 31-year-old Michael DeCarlo and 31-year-old Jeffrey Wright Jr., all of Shippensburg; and 30-year-old Gabriel Stouffer of Newburg.

A grand jury indictment alleges the five trafficked heroin in Franklin and Cumberland counties from October until this month.

Gries, Forrester, and Stouffer were also charged with drug trafficking that led to the February death of 21-year-old Andrew Kyle Golter in Lurgan Township, Franklin County.

It couldn’t be immediately determined whether the defendants had attorneys.
