HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Filming of a documentary on the town of Hot Springs’ role in the beginnings of spring baseball is scheduled to begin later this week.
The film, “The First Boys of Spring,” is due to start shooting Thursday.
Emmy-winning documentarian Larry Foley is shooting the film, which will document the town’s role as the birthplace of spring baseball in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Officials with the Hot Springs Convention Center plan to show a trailer of the documentary to kick off filming, as well as artwork and posters for the film.
