CYPRESS, Texas (AP) - Harris County authorities say a murder charge has been filed against a teenager accused of firing into a crowd of party-goers last year at a suburban Houston home.

Officials announced the latest charge against 18-year-old Randy Stewart on Wednesday. He was previously charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence.

He remains incarcerated at the Harris County jail.

His older brother, Marvin Stewart, also has been charged with tampering with evidence. He’s not in custody.

Authorities say Randy Stewart fatally shot 17-year-old Queric Richardson, who was one of two teens killed Nov. 9 at the birthday party in northwest Harris County. Some 20 others were injured.

Investigators continue to review the death of 17-year-old Arielle Olivia Shepherd. They have not identified a suspect in her killing.
