HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A Hot Springs lawyer who faces manslaughter charges in a man’s death from two years ago has surrendered to police.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Thursday (https://bit.ly/O19lVS) that 36-year-old Andrea Davis has turned herself in to police. Davis is in custody until her first appearance in Garland County District Court set for Friday.

Davis and her brother Matthew Davis are charged in the Feb. 29, 2012, shooting death of Maxwell Anderson at Andrea Davis‘ residence.

Jeff Rosenzweig, Andrea Davis‘ lawyer, says Matthew Davis would turn himself in later in the day, because he’s traveling from out-of-state.

Attorney General Dustin McDaniel dropped out of the governor’s race last year after admitting an inappropriate relationship with Andrea Davis.
