JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State women’s bowling team has been named the top seed for next month’s NCAA bowling tournament.

The tournament will be held April 10-12 in Wickliffe, Ohio. The Red Wolves topped the rankings much of this year and weren’t surprised to make the tournament. Sarah Lokker’s 215 average is the highest in the nation this year.

Defending champion Nebraska is seeded third in the tournament.

Arkansas State has made the tournament for seven years in a row and its highest finish is second, in 2008.

The entire field, listed in order of seeding, includes: Arkansas State, Central Missouri, Nebraska, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Fairleigh Dickinson, Vanderbilt, Sam Houston State and Wisconsin-Whitewater. The finals will be on cable television the night of April 12.
