BOSTON (AP) - A Boston teenager has been acquitted of killing an Irish immigrant during a botched robbery in 2011.

John Graham was found not guilty Wednesday by a Suffolk Superior Court jury of the October 2011 shooting death of 36-year-old Ciaran “Kiwi” Conneely.

The 19-year-old Graham was convicted of two unrelated non-fatal shootings that occurred weeks after Conneely’s death. He is scheduled to be sentenced for those shootings on May 1.

Prosecutors say Graham, 16 at the time, shot Conneely, a construction worker, during a robbery attempt.

Prosecutors say the same gun was used in all three shootings.

The gun used to shoot Conneely was never found, but Graham allegedly confessed to two people, including his sister.

Graham’s lawyer questioned the testimony of those witnesses, saying it was unreliable.
