FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Fort Worth police say three patrol officers responding to a traffic accident pulled the driver out of a burning vehicle that had overturned.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram (https://bit.ly/NZQpa0 ) reports that the driver was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition after the accident early Thursday morning. No other injuries were reported.

Police added that a civilian who was riding along with one of the officers used a fire extinguisher from a patrol car to help put out the blaze, which was extinguished by firefighters.

Police reports say that the driver had hit a guardrail, vaulted over it and landed on a roadway embankment. Police have not released any information on what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
