RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Rapid City officials are opening three drop off sites across the city for yard waste.

The disposal sites will open Tuesday in West Boulevard North, Fitzgerald Stadium and the landfill’s new 24-hour drop off facility.

The new 24-hour drop off facility is located at the front of the Rapid City landfill on South 79. The site is lighted and has security cameras.

Curbside yard waste pickup is also scheduled to resume on Tuesday. Officials with the Rapid City Solid Waste Division remind residents that yard waste must be placed in appropriate bags for collection.

Residents and business can continue to drop off yard waste and branches at no charge at the Rapid City landfill. The landfill is opened from 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
