RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The streets of Richmond will be crowded with more than 36,000 walkers and runners who have registered for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K race.

Organizers say it’s one of the largest such races in the country.

Walk-up registrations for Saturday’s race are being accepted on Thursday and Friday at the Anthem Health and Fitness Expo at the Arthur Ashe Fitness Center. The fee is $55 for the 10K and $30 for a children’s run.

The Collegiate Running Association’s inaugural 10K Road Race National Championships will be held simultaneously. Nearly 1,200 association members will compete for prize money at Saturday’s race.
