NANTICOKE, Pa. (AP) - Officials say a northeastern Pennsylvania community college will be closed for the second day in a row due to an unspecified threat via computer to the institution.

Luzerne County Community College said on its website that the main campus in Nanticoke and all off-campus sites will remain closed Friday while authorities investigate. All day and evening classes are canceled.

The college evacuated the campus Thursday morning citing “a threat directed at the college.” Officials said no one would be allowed at any campus location until further notice.

School officials did not specify the nature of the threat but said it was received by computer. They said local, county and state authorities had been notified along with the FBI.
