JARREAU, La. (AP) - Authorities say the body of an 85-year-old Jarreau (JAR’-roh) man was pulled from the charred remains of his mobile home.

The chief deputy for the state Fire Marshal’s Office, Brant Thompson, identified the victim as Henry H. Jipson.

Thompson said the agency is withholding some information, including where the body was found inside the mobile home and the cause of the fire.

Firefighters from the Pointe Coupee Fire District No. 3 were called to the fire in the mobile home park at about 12:12 p.m. Saturday.

Thompson said investigators believe the fire began in the living room, but that was not where Jipson’s body was found by firefighters.
