NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Snow and ice have forced a delay in the basketball playoffs for five of Arkansas’ seven high school sports classifications.

Tuesday’s games in classes 1A, 2A, 3A, 5A and 6A will be pushed back a day, and semifinals in those classifications will be played beginning at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Games in classes 4A and 7A were already set to begin Wednesday.

The Arkansas Activities Association said driving conditions are still expected to be bad Tuesday, so games had to be pushed back for safety reasons. The starting times will be the same.

Last fall, the AAA delayed football championships because of snow.

New brackets are posted at www.ashaa.org

Tournament sites are:

7A-Conway

6A-Jonesboro

5A-Alma

4A-Lonoke

3A-Charleston

Finals will be held March 13-15 at Hot Springs.
