MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) - A paramedic school in Meridian has closed, leaving some students in the program with questions about completing their training.

Guardian College teaches students courses on paramedic training in preparation for paramedic certification.

Students say they were told this past week that the college was shut down and the school would not graduate their class.

Owner Loralei Sturkie tells KBOI-TV (https://bit.ly/1lftXpO ) that about nine students were left without finishing their training.

She said she was working to help those students finish out their training at another school.

Sturkie blamed changing federal regulations with student loans and the federal health care law for forcing the college to close.
