SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Orange barrel season has arrived to South Dakota’s largest city.

Sioux Falls authorities say the city’s street improvement program will begin Monday.

KELO-TV (https://bit.ly/1jnfOa6 ) reports construction will start on West 41st Street from Ellis Road to east of Grinnell Avenue. This project will widen 41st Street from Ellis Road to Sertoma Avenue.

When the project is finished in October, 41st Street will have four lanes, a center median, turn and bike lanes. Traffic meanwhile will be diverted to 26th Street.

Officials say Tenth Street and Sycamore Avenue will also be under construction. A right turn lane and dual left turn lanes will be added. This project similarly will end in October.

City officials have scheduled at least three more road repair projects. More details can be found online at www.siouxfalls.org/street-construction .
