PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police are searching for an armed man who robbed a movie theater in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Authorities say the unidentified man walked into the AMC Marple 10 theater in Delaware County at about 11 p.m. Friday night. The man allegedly took $600 from the registers and fled the theater within seconds.

Police say a security guard followed the man into the parking lot and fired shots after the robber pointed a gun at him. Authorities believe one of the shots may have hit the car, which had two other men inside.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing.
