ANDREWS, S.C. (AP) - The body of a 12-year-old boy has been found in a burned mobile home in Georgetown County.
The coroner’s office says the victim was Dave S. Coombs of Andrews.
Sheriff’s deputies were called around 1:30 a.m. Saturday to a fire at a mobile home where the boy’s family used to live. Family members said the boy had left their new home Friday night to attend a birthday party.
An autopsy was planned at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston to determine the cause of death.
The State Law Enforcement Division and the sheriff’s office are investigating.
