BOLIVAR, Pa. (AP) - The funeral for the leader of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North American is set in western Pennsylvania, at a conference center the clergyman helped establish.

The Most Rev. Metropolitan Philip Saliba died March 19 at age 83.

Saliba had been bishop of the archdiocese, which is based in Englewood, N.J., since 1966. The archdiocese has 150,000 members and includes 22 Pennsylvania parishes.

In 1979, Saliva helped dedicate a former Presbyterian church camp in Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County, that is now known as the Antiochian Village Camp and Conference Center. The conference center and retreat facilities were added in 1985.

Saliba’s funeral was scheduled for noon Monday at the facility, which is about 45 miles east of Pittsburgh.
