BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) - Authorities have opened an arson investigation after a house fire in central Illinois sent two people to the hospital.

The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports (https://bit.ly/1kvqAx3 ) firefighters brought the Tuesday morning fire in Bloomington under control within about 30 minutes.

Two people who were pulled from the home were transported to a local hospital. Bloomington Fire Department spokesman Brad McCollum says at least one of the victims is also in police custody.

The Bloomington Fire Department, the Bloomington Police Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.
