WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. (AP) - West Liberty University is hosting its annual Regional Science and Engineering Fair this weekend.

The university bills it as the region’s largest science fair. It’s open to students in sixth through 12th grade in six West Virginia counties and two counties in Ohio.

Judging will take place Friday, and an awards banquet is set for Saturday. Participants will compete for category awards, special awards and an opportunity to attend the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Ariz.

Exhibits will be open to the general public from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday.
