ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The Office of General Services says Sunday is the last day of ice skating at the Empire State Plaza rink for the season.

Despite the erratic weather facing New York, OGS says they had a successful year with more than 12,500 visitors and more than 10,000 ice skate rentals.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the plaza is hosting The Hannaford Kidz Expo, before concluding the Winter at the Plaza series on Sunday night.

The rink is opened from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and is free to the public.
