BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Associated Press has named Lauren Langlois as a legislative relief reporter in Louisiana.

The announcement was made Wednesday by AP South Region Editor Lisa Marie Pane and Louisiana-Mississippi News Editor Brian Schwaner.

Langlois will be based in Baton Rouge and will work with Correspondent Melinda Deslatte on coverage of state government during the upcoming session of the Louisiana Legislature.

Langlois holds a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, where she reported as a staff member of KLSU Radio.

She most recently was a writer and editorial assistant for The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge.
