LOS ANGELES (AP) - Two men who beat a San Francisco Giants fan outside Dodger Stadium, leaving him severely brain-damaged, have now been charged with federal crimes.

Marvin Norwood and Louie Sanchez of Rialto were charged Wednesday in Los Angeles with being felons in possession of firearms. Authorities say they found assault-style rifles and other guns at Norwood’s home.

Both men are in custody. Each faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

A call to Norwood’s attorney wasn’t immediately returned.

The men pleaded guilty to state charges last month for attacking Bryan Stow in the stadium parking lot after the 2011 opening game.

The attack shocked sports fans and left Stow permanently disabled.

Sanchez was sentenced to eight years in prison, with credit for about three years served.

Norwood got four years.
