President Obama is intensely pressuring Israel to follow his peace plan, which means returning the country to its 1948 borders (“Obama tells Netanyahu ‘tough decisions’ necessary in peace talks,” Web, March 3). This is foolish policy, and it’s doomed to fail because it’s based upon false reasoning.

It isn’t Israel’s current size, housing policy or even Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that is the source of the problem. The problem is Israel. Israel’s enemies continue to argue that Israel shouldn’t exist. You won’t fix any problem if your opposition opposes your right to exist.

I’ve lived in Israel. I’ve seen Palestine Liberation Organization literature that is given to young schoolchildren. The minds of these young children are being trained in aggressive and hateful ways. There’s a continual and certain fear that seems to pervade Israel because Israeli citizens are surrounded by nations that want them pushed into the sea.

If Mr. Obama pushes this through and forces Israel to divide its land, I can assure you that America will pay dearly. Payment will come from the hand of God.

America has offended God in many ways: more than 50 million abortions, promotion of homosexual rights, same-sex “marriage” policy, anti-Christian pursuits, corruption in government and so forth. Even so, the final nail in the coffin, in my opinion, will be if we force Israel to divide her land.

God honors His covenants, and He will continue to honor the Abrahamic Covenant. Those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who don’t will be cursed. Do not force Israel to divide the land.
