ORONO, Maine (AP) - Maine is taking on Merrimack in the first round of the Hockey East tournament.
The winner of the game Saturday at Alfond Arena will advance to the quarterfinals.
Maine, under first-year Coach Red Gendron, was 15-13-4 going into the game, while Merrimack was 8-21-3.
Last year, Massachusetts-Lowell beat Maine in the tournament’s first round.
