MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - Police in the southern Oregon city of Medford say a man and a woman shot and wounded by law enforcement officers after a pursuit are both wanted in eastern Idaho.

Lt. Mike Budreau identified them Friday as 29-year-old Wayne Eugene Pearson and 31-year-old Shavon Willard. The officer says Pearson was sought in connection with a Feb. 27 case in which a deputy’s vehicle was rammed with a stolen car in Jefferson County, Idaho. Willard was sought on a felony warrant for a parole violation. Idaho officers described both as armed and dangerous.

Both remained hospitalized Friday in stable condition.

Their pickup truck was spotted Thursday at a Medford motel and Medford police as well as officers from several other law enforcement agencies began to follow it.

Budreau says four law enforcement officers fired at the truck after the driver headed straight toward officers who had been following it, ramming an occupied police SUV. Two officers in the SUV suffered minor injuries.
