ATHENS, Ohio (AP) - High water from heavy rains the past few days has closed a number of roads in southeast Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that Athens, Vinton and Hocking counties were dealing with high water and closed roads Thursday morning, including parts of US 50.

State Route 93 was closed in both directions for 10 miles just north of U.S. 33.

Federal Hocking School District was under a two-hour delay because of road closures.

Department of Transportation crews were working early Thursday to assess the situation.
