COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - A Council Bluffs man has been arrested in connection with a nearly hourslong chase involving authorities.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Jacob Cochran was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of eluding authorities and violating several traffic laws.

The Omaha World-Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1uaPiWC ) Cochran is accused of leading authorities on a 50-minute pursuit through the northern part of Montgomery County. The chase ended when Cochran lost control of his vehicle and drove into a cornfield. He was taken into custody following a short foot chase.

Cochran remained at the county jail Thursday. Court records do not list an attorney.
