LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky has hired Christian Stefanopoulos as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, returning her to a Wildcats program she worked as video coordinator.

Stefanopoulos served in similar positions the past two seasons at Bucknell, attracting and developing talent that helped the Bison win 31 games over that span after just five wins in 2011-12. They played in this year’s WBI, their first postseason appearance since 2007-08.

In a release Thursday, Kentucky coach Matthew Mitchell said “players have always benefited from spending time with Christian whether it was on or off the court. I’m so happy she’s a Wildcat.”

Stefanopoulos coordinated the Wildcats’ video from 2007-10 after serving as a graduate assistant under Mitchell at Morehead State. She played at Austin Peay and Thomas More College.
