RED HOOK, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 30-year-old woman has been killed in a late-night, one-car crash on a Hudson Valley road.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office says Amanda Timbrouck of Kingston, New York was driving south on Route 9G around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday when she lost control of the vehicle in the town of Red Hook.

Deputies say the car slid sideways, left the road and hit a tree. Police say it appears speeding was a factor in the crash, but it remains under investigation.
