Man arrested in shooting of 2 women, 1 fatally

ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - Police in the Southern Oregon city of Roseburg have arrested a 19-year-old man in the shooting of two women, one of whom died.

Jail records showed Michael Carl Robert Gardner was held without bail Wednesday on charges of murder and attempted murder.

The News-Review (https://bit.ly/PURJw3 ) reports he was arrested at a nearby friend’s home shortly after the Tuesday night shooting that left 23-year-old Ashley Nicole Davis dead and 51-year-old Kathy Ann Marshall wounded.

There was no immediate word on a motive for the shooting, or Gardner’s relationship with the two women.
