PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - An escaped Jackson County jail inmate is back behind bars and he and the alleged driver of his getaway car have been arrested on felony charges.

Interim Sheriff Charles Britt tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/Sd8Qv5 ) 24-year-old Jack Preston Sanders III, of Gautier, was on the run for two days after disappearing from a work detail at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Sanders and his alleged driver Wednesday in Grand Bay, Alabama.

Deputies arrested Sanders on an escape charge and 25-year-old Sheleena Ashley Forehand, of Vancleave, on a charge of aiding in the escape. She was released on bond.

Sanders, who has a pending burglary charge, is now held with no bond.

It was unclear whether Forehand has an attorney
