MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Mobile police say the second teenage boy in two days has been arrested for carrying a gun on or near a school campus.

Department spokesman Terence Perkins tells Al.com (https://bit.ly/1fC6tvY ) the 13-year-old boy was found with a gun at Booker T. Washington Middle School Wednesday and was taken to the Strickland Youth Center.

Police have said another 13-year-old boy was found with a weapon near Denton Middle School on Tuesday and was also taken to the Strickland Youth Center.

Perkins says police have met with school resource officers to talk about guns on campus, and police are asking students to come forward if they think a classmate may be carrying a weapon.
