KILLEEN, Texas (AP) - Services will be held this weekend for a veteran Central Texas police officer who died after being shot while serving a warrant.

The Killeen Police Department announced the funeral for 47-year-old Detective Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Saturday at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. Burial will follow at the Killeen Cemetery.

Dinwiddie and three other officers were shot Friday morning while trying to serve a warrant. Dinwiddie, who’d been with the Killeen police force 18 years, died Sunday.

Two of the other officers were treated and released while the third wounded officer required hospitalization.

A suspect in the shootings remains in the Bell County jail with bond set at $3 million. Marvin Louis Guy of Killeen faces three counts of attempted capital murder.
