SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police have arrested more than 50 people suspected in a drug ring operating in Salt Lake and Utah counties.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal says in a statement Tuesday that over the past week, officers have arrested 11 suspected drug dealers and 40 suspected drug customers.

Hoyal says police seized six pounds of heroin with a street value of about $120,000. They also seized 11 vehicles, $82,000 in cash and 12 firearms.

Detectives from the Unified Police Department in Salt Lake County and the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force worked on the joint investigation.
